Mark O'Brien

Mark O'Brien is an accomplished actor/filmmaker. As an actor, he has appeared in many leading film and television roles, including; the CBC mini-series Above and Beyond, the Sundance Film Festival official selection Grown Up Movie Star and the upcoming wrestling feature film, Beat Down. Mark has also starred in numerous award winning short films and appeared as a guest star on the SyFy hit series Warehouse 13 this past summer and will also be appearing in season five of CityTV's The Murdoch Mysteries.

This past year, he was nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award for outstanding performance by a male in a television show for his work on Republic of Doyle. His theatre credits include Autobahn, Rope, Poor Superman, Sex; the Rules Of and Butler's Marsh. As a filmmaker, Mark has had films in the Atlantic Film Festival, St. John's Women's International Film Festival, and last year travelled to Los Angeles to the LA Shorts Film Festival for the short film BRAD, that Mark produced, edited and starred in. He recently directed the short film Kathy which premiered at the 2011 Atlantic FIlm Festival in Halifax.
