Peter Hyams
Peter Hyams has been a mainstay in cinema for over thirty years, with Beyond A Reasonable Doubt marking his 19th directorial feature. Originally a news-anchor in Chicago and New York, Mr. Hyams' news documentaries brought him to Hollywood where he worked consistently in television and film before his breakout hit Capricorn One. This led to such well-known sci-fi films as Outland and 2010: The Year We Make Contact, the sequel to 2001: A Space Odyssey. In addition to writing most of his films, Mr. Hyams holds the distinction of being one of only a small handful of mainstream filmmakers who also serves as his own director of photography. Select credits include The Star Chamber (also with
Michael Douglas), Running Scared, Timecop, The Relic, The Musketeer, End of Days as well as the pilot for the CBS series
Threshold.
