Andy Lau
Another of Asia's most recognized pop and film stars, Andy Lau appears as the General's son in LEGEND OF DRUNKEN MASTER. Lau is so popular in Asia he has his own museum in Hong Kong, the first of its kind. He began his career as a television star but went on to make his mark in music becoming one of Hong Kong's so-called Four Kings of Pop. He has released more than a dozen hit albums in Mandarin and Cantonese and has won four Most Popular Singer Awards in Hong Kong and seven Most Popular Singer Awards in Taiwan. His recent album, Lonely Woman, is the best-selling Cantonese album to date. In addition, Lau's original songs for feature films have won numerous Hong Kong Film Awards.
As an actor, he has starred in over 75 feature films and became well recognized as Chow Yun Fat's sidekick in several hits. He has been nominated several times for Hong Kong's Best Actor Award, for Boat People, Full Throttle and Lee Rock. He most recently won the Award for Best Actor for his acclaimed leading role in An Zhan (Running Out of Time.) He also received a nomination for the Golden Horse Award for Best Actor for his role in As Tears Go By, starring opposite Maggie Cheung. In the year 2000, Lau starred in the swordfight movie The Duel. Lau has also directed a feature film, Dragon in Jail, andproduced such films as Chinese Untouchables, Made in Hong Kong, The Longest Summer and "Hainan Chicken Rices.
