Biography #2 (for Joe Somebody)

John Pasquin made his feature film directorial debut in the box-office hit The Santa Clause, starring Tim Allen, which is Walt Disney Pictures' all-time highest grossing live-action feature. This was followed by Disney's family comedy Jungle2Jungle again starring Allen, plus JoBeth Williams, Martin Short and Lolita Davidovich.

Pasquin was honored with two Emmy nominations for his work as the original director, producer and one of the creative forces behind the series Home Improvement. Pasquin also was nominated for an Emmy and a Directors Guild of America Award for his direction of the popular drama LA Law. He was the inaugural director of thirtysomething, the influential one-hour dramatic series that focused on the lives of seven adults living in Philadelphia. Pasquin's other television directorial credits include Roseanne, Family Ties, Growing Pains, Newhart and Alice. He helmed the made for television movies Out on the Edge and Don't Touch My Daughter.

Pasquin spent ten years honing his skills and gaining critical acclaim directing off-Broadway and regional theatre productions around the United States. He was honored with an Obie Award for his direction of Moonchildren, and also directed numerous productions for Joseph Papp's Shakespeare Festival in New York.
