Angela Featherstone
The Canadian native also lit up the screen as a woman looking for a date in New York City on New Year's Eve in the hip comedy, 200 Cigarettes, and counts among her feature credits the quirky detective thriller, Zero Effect and Jerry Bruckheimer's action hit, Con Air. She recently completed roles in The Guilty, again working alongside actor Bill Pullman, and Skipped Parts with Jennifer Jason Leigh.
Featherstone recognized her acting ambitions as a youngster growing up in Hamilton, Ontario. Hoping to make the move from Halifax to Hollywood, she graduated high school, then moved to Toronto, where the versatile, eclectic talent worked as a model. She relocated to New York, found an agent and won a small role in Sam Raimi's Army of Darkness," the third chapter in his Evil Dead trilogy.
Back home in Canada, Featherstone starred in a few telefilms, earning a Gemini Award nomination for her work in Family of Cops. She reprised her role in Breach of Faith: Family of Cops II, then returned to the United States to co-star as Det. Hannah Tyler opposite Robert Pastorelli in the ABC series, Cracker.
When not before in front of the cameras, Featherstone is a magazine writer in the fields of fashion and medicine and has been published in such national outlets as Time and Jane. She has also optioned a sitcom idea with DreamWorks and NBC. She can presently be seen on the NBC drama, Providence.
