Susan Lynch

Susan Lynch was doing plays in Gaelic when she was offered a place at Central School of Speech and Drama in 1989. While at Central, she won Kenneth Branagh's Renaissance Award as Most Promising Student.

Lynch starred in the feature Downtime, played a mythical water creature in John Sayles The Secret of Roan Inish and had a small part in Neil Jordan's Interview with the Vampire."

Lynch's first TV role was a memorable edition of the award-winning Cracker. She starred in the three-part special To Say I Love You and as the title role in the four-part ITV gangster series Dangerous Lady. Other leading television roles include the BBC dramatization of Ivanhoe, A Royal Scandal, opposite Richard E. Grant, the mini-series Kings in Grass Castles and Amongst Women.

Her numerous theater roles include The Clearing, a co-production of the National Theatre and the Bush Theatre and El Cid and Pericles at the National Theatre. She has also appeared in the title role of Miss Julie opposite John Hannah at the Young Vic and in Berlin Bertie and Ashes and Sand at the Royal Court.

Lynch is currently in Rome filming the thriller Commedia, opposite Jonathan Pryce.
